Eurostar Luggage Assistance and Personal Travel Support

A Eurostar journey is straightforward once you are on the train. The station, luggage and handover at either end can take more planning.

LDN Tour can arrange support for either direction: a personal companion and chauffeur pick-up at the London end, a locally confirmed station meeting in Europe, a meeting at London St Pancras on your return, and a pre-booked car to your hotel or address. Choose the parts you need and where the service should begin and finish.

Our direct-destination assistance can be arranged for Paris, Lille, Brussels, Amsterdam and Rotterdam, subject to local staff and station-access confirmation. We agree the meeting point, luggage and finish point in writing before taking payment.

From your London home or hotel

A pre-booked LDN Tour vehicle can collect you and your luggage. Your driver can help load the agreed bags, bring you to St Pancras, unload at the agreed station point and introduce you to your station companion.

At London St Pancras

For a departure, meet your companion at an agreed public point. They can help with bags, find the correct Eurostar departure area and stay with you until you enter the ticket and departure-control queue.

For an arrival into London, we can request a meeting at an authorised public arrivals point and help take your bags to a pre-booked car or onward connection.

Beyond the departure gates

The Eurostar departure area is controlled. A standard station booking ends before the ticket gates and security checks. If you want a companion to go through the gates, assist at the train and place bags on board, we can arrange this only when the companion has their own valid Eurostar ticket and the full travel arrangement is confirmed. Their rail fare and any return travel are charged separately.

At the European station

A local assistant can be requested for a departure or arrival at Paris Gare du Nord, Lille Europe, Brussels-Midi/Zuid, Amsterdam Centraal or Rotterdam Centraal. Depending on station rules, the meeting point may be the public concourse or arrivals hall rather than the platform.

The assistant can help you reach the correct departure area or take your bags to a pre-booked car or other agreed onward connection. Local availability and the exact meeting point are confirmed before payment.

Between addresses

Add a London or locally supplied private transfer and we can coordinate the journey between your London address, station and final address. We confirm the vehicle, luggage capacity, local contact and final price before the journey.

Need help with something else?

Tell us what you need, where and when. We can consider station-to-airport or station-to-station transfers, an extra assistant for a family or group, help planning extra luggage and other practical requests. We will confirm what we can arrange and send you a written quotation before you book.

Eurostar cities we can plan around

Eurostar operates direct services from London to:

  • Paris — Gare du Nord
  • Lille — Lille Europe
  • Brussels — Brussels-Midi/Zuid
  • Amsterdam — Amsterdam Centraal
  • Rotterdam — Rotterdam Centraal

If your ticket continues to another city, tell us the full itinerary. We can discuss an onward transfer, station-to-station car or local assistance, subject to the route and supplier availability.

The same station service for a same-day request made at least two hours before the agreed meeting time. We confirm the assistant and meeting time in writing.

Ticketed boarding and on-board companion — from £495 attendance fee

The companion’s valid Eurostar ticket and return travel are charged separately. This service must be arranged and confirmed in advance.

Bespoke travel assistance — price confirmed for your request

Need help with something you cannot see on this page? Tell us what you need, where and when. We will confirm whether we can arrange it and send a written quotation. For London station help, additional time after the first 90 minutes is proposed at £40 per 30 minutes. Local assistants, vehicles, courier services and train tickets are priced separately.

Destination assistance depends on local availability and station access. We confirm the person, meeting point, scope and final price before taking payment. A live phone or WhatsApp channel should be used for urgent requests only if it is actively monitored.

Luggage planning and onward connections

Eurostar baggage allowances and luggage assistance vary by ticket, route and station. If you are carrying an extra or oversized item, check that it is permitted on your specific train. On London routes, Eurostar’s Registered Luggage service is available only on selected trains between London and Paris or Brussels. We can help you identify the right option, or discuss a separate door-to-door courier. Eurostar confirms whether luggage can travel on its train.

We can also quote a transfer to a London airport, hotel, another station or address, and request local transport at the European end. If your train is delayed, we may be able to coordinate a revised ground-transport meeting time after confirming the driver and local supplier. Eurostar handles ticket changes and rebooking.

What happens when you enquire

  1. Send your journey details. Include your travel date, train time and number, departure and destination stations, passenger count, luggage count and the addresses where you would like help to begin and end.
  2. Choose where you want help. Tell us whether you need a London pick-up, assistance to the departure controls, a ticketed on-board companion, destination assistance or an onward car.
  3. Receive a written plan and price. We confirm who will meet you, where to meet, how long the service lasts, what the price includes and any separate rail or vehicle costs.
  4. Travel with the confirmed arrangements. Keep your ticket and travel documents with you, and remain responsible for your luggage during check-in, security and border checks.

A note about Eurostar’s own assistance

Eurostar provides free accessible-travel assistance for passengers who need it. The arrangements and luggage help vary by station, and some requests should be made in advance. If you need a wheelchair space, ramp, step-free boarding or other accessibility assistance, contact Eurostar directly as well as telling us what practical help you would like from LDN Tour. Our private service does not replace Eurostar Assist and cannot arrange priority treatment at security, ticket checks or border control.

Frequently asked questions

Can I book help if I am not travelling in Eurostar Premier?

Yes. The LDN Tour station-companion service is intended to be bookable independently of Eurostar travel class. Access beyond the departure-control gates is a separate arrangement and requires the companion to hold a valid ticket or receive station authorisation.

Can someone help me load my suitcase onto the train?

Only as part of a confirmed ticketed-companion arrangement. An ordinary station booking ends before the controlled departure gates. The companion must have a valid ticket to travel with you; their ticket and any return journey are additional costs.

Can you meet me at the train door when I arrive?

Only if the station permits the local assistant to enter the platform. Otherwise, the meeting point will be an agreed public arrivals area. We confirm the exact point before payment.

Can you help at Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Lille as well as Paris?

Yes, we can request local assistance at Amsterdam Centraal, Rotterdam Centraal, Lille Europe, Brussels-Midi/Zuid and Paris Gare du Nord. Each booking depends on confirming a local assistant and the permitted station meeting point.

Can you arrange help between my London and European addresses in either direction?

Yes. We can coordinate a London or local pick-up, station assistance, a confirmed meeting at the other end and a local transfer. The London vehicle, destination vehicle and any ticketed companion are itemised separately in the written quotation. For example, ask about a London hotel to Paris hotel journey or the reverse; local staffing and station access must be confirmed.

Can you help at short notice?

We accept same-day requests only when an assistant is available and confirms the meeting time. For a train due to leave within two hours, including in around one hour, contact us only if you are already at or close to St Pancras. After we confirm an assistant is nearby and payment is complete, we can aim to meet you within about ten minutes. That is an arrival target, not a promise that you will board.

For Standard and Plus journeys from London, Eurostar currently recommends arriving 75 minutes before departure, and ticket gates close 30 minutes before departure. We cannot guarantee that a late-arriving passenger will board. Eurostar

Can you help with extra or oversized luggage?

Tell us which train you have booked and what you are carrying. Some additional or oversized luggage on London routes must be booked in advance on an eligible train. We can help you check the available options or discuss a separate courier, but Eurostar decides what luggage it accepts on each service.

Can you take me to an airport or another station after Eurostar?

We can quote a London transfer to an airport, hotel, address or another station. At the European end, we can request a local vehicle. We confirm the car and meeting arrangements in writing before travel.

What if my train is delayed?

Where live train information and the driver are available, we can try to coordinate a revised ground-transport meeting time. Eurostar handles ticket changes and rebooking. Waiting or a new vehicle booking may change the price.

How much luggage can you help with?

The standard proposed London price covers up to two standard suitcases and two small cabin bags for up to two travellers. Tell us about additional, oversized or unusually heavy items so we can confirm safe handling and any extra porter requirement.

Do you sell Eurostar tickets?

No. You arrange your own passenger ticket. If a ticketed companion is required, LDN Tour will confirm whether a separate staff ticket can be arranged and add its cost and any return travel to the quote.

Can the assistant take my passport or go through border control for me?

No. Keep your passport, ticket and other travel documents with you. Our companion can help you find the right area and understand the station layout, but cannot act as a border officer, bypass a queue or guarantee an immigration decision.

Start with the help you need

A short station meeting, a London chauffeur pick-up or support at both ends of the train journey can be planned as separate services. Tell us where you are starting, where you are going and how many bags you will have. We will confirm what can be arranged and provide one clear quotation.
